DVAI partnered with a local architectural team to help achieve optimal sound performance in a new theatre space. Using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a virtual acoustic generator, our team modeled the room and simulated how sound would behave throughout the venue before construction was finalized. This allowed the design team to evaluate different configurations and materials to achieve the best possible acoustic performance. Based on the modeling results, DVAI recommended targeted acoustic treatments and panel placements to control reflections and improve clarity. The result was a theatre environment engineered for balanced, intelligible, and immersive sound for both performers and audiences.
An architectural firm retained DVAI to design and deliver the audio-visual systems for a new Indigenous recreation and health centre. Our team conducted stakeholder interviews with community representatives and project partners to understand the vision for how the spaces would be used for gatherings, wellness programming, and community events. We designed and deployed a flexible audio-visual solution for a defense contractor’s multipurpose collaboration space, supporting both a divisible meeting room configuration and a large all-hands presentation mode. The system enables seamless switching between independent meeting environments or a combined town-hall style space, with integrated displays, distributed audio, wireless presentation, and intuitive touch-panel control. The solution ensures secure, reliable communications while allowing teams to quickly adapt the space for briefings, collaboration sessions, and company-wide meetings.
We provided AV system design for a new office building, delivering integrated technology across all meeting spaces and a large second-floor multipurpose room. The solution included installation of turnstiles for managed entry, exterior bollards for vehicle mitigation, Code Blue emergency stations for rapid response, and integrated intercom systems for secure communication at access points.

Our role was to facilitate a needs assessment, present options and recommendations to senior management, and integrate the selected solutions into the overall construction package. Further we were responsible to install and commission the Passive Optical Network and associated cabling that supports all building technologies.
