New Construction
Ingenium engaged DVAI to design the audio-visual and security systems for the new Collections and Conservation Centre to accommodate their corporate offices and warehousing. Our role was to facilitate a needs assessment, present options and recommendations to senior management, and integrate the selected solutions into the overall construction package. Further we were responsible to install and commission the Passive Optical Network and associated cabling that supports all building technologies.
Sporting Venue
The Ottawa Hunt and Golf engaged Davidson Violette to design and install the viewing system for their Curling Club, with an eye for streaming of their live events. DVAI commissioned a system that allows for video switching of any sheet of ice to the multiple displays and streaming system, thereby allowing the Club to host national events. Cameras were placed above each house and monitors provided in the Club House for each sheet, showing both houses and the approach of the curlers.
House of Worship
A local architect engaged Davidson Violette to design and integrate all technologies for a new temple in Ottawa’s south end. Our role was to complete a needs assessment, prepare recommendations, integrate the solutions into the overall construction package, and manage the procurement process and selected contractor.
Federal Government
Canada regularly engages Davidson Violette to design and install audio visual systems both locally and abroad. Various departments and Crown agencies leverage the Audio-Visual Supply Arrangement (AVSA) and/or the Video Conferencing Procurement Vehicle (VCPV) to retain our services.
Office Relocation
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) contracted DVAI to address their technology needs for the move to their new location. Our staff designed each space and integrated the requirements into the overall construction package, and subsequently installed and commissioned each system.
Facility Renewal
Ingenium engaged DVAI to design the audio-visual and security systems for the refreshed Museum of Science and Technology. Our role was to facilitate a needs assessment, present options and recommendations to senior management, and integrate the selected solutions into the overall construction package.
Corporate Headquarters
Hydro Ottawa Ltd consolidated their real estate holdings into two campuses, one in the South end and the other in the West end of Ottawa. DVAI was engaged to demonstrate the newer technologies available, and were subsequently engaged to design and install these new systems.
Meeting Space Updates
CDIC engaged Davidson Violette to update all their meeting spaces to Microsoft Teams based spaces (MTR’s) in both their Ottawa and Toronto offices. We were also able to upgrade their corporate Board Room with new AI cameras and audio to allow for the multiple uses the room required. We continue to support CDIC’s maintenance and servicing needs.
