Analog SunsetAugust of 2011 will see the beginning of the demise of analog television, to be replaced by digital audio and video content. Component-based systems will run into problems when the "Analog Sunset" goes into effect. TV and movie providers will be able to protect their high-definition content from unauthorized copying by automatically detecting analog equipment and reducing the output resolution to standard definition. At present, this change in video technology is forcing all companies to integrate both analog and digital video during the transition. However, January of 2013 will see a complete ban on analog output from Blu-Ray players. As a result, all video and computer paths must be designed considering this digital end-game, which brings its own complications including transmission distances, HDCP copy protection and issues with EDID resolution management (the way an HDMI source communicates with the display to supply the proper signal). During this transition, DVA is providing audio-video systems that accommodate both analog and digital. Our solutions provide for both conventions without the need to replace equipment when the sun has set. Our systems are stable and easy to use, allowing multiple audio and video signal on a single high-bandwidth cable. Key Features:
